Bulgarian ministers from the government of Nikola Mushanov (which was in power in 1933, the year the caricature was drawn) are seated at a table, eating and drinking. At that time, one of the most iconic meeting spots for Sofia’s high society, intellectuals, bankers, and politicians was the legendary "Alcazar" garden restaurant and café, located on Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard in Sofia (on the site where the Hotel Bulgaria was later built in the 1930s).
